First Responder CPR BLS

This course will give participants Comprehensive skills for professional first responders or those training to become first responders. The course teaches the patient assessment model, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, hemorrhage control, and care for various acute and chronic conditions. 


Participants will be engaged in dynamic training techniques including video, media presentations, skills demonstrations, practice sessions, discussions, and scenarios based on real-life situations.

  • Certification

    3-year certification in First Responder

EMR Training

EMR course provides the knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness for those functioning as a member of the healthcare team in a pre-hospital setting. 


This course is for those providing a professional level of emergency response, including firefighters, law-enforcement officers, and emergency medical services personnel. Includes BLS level and AED. Meets the Paramedic Association of Canada National Occupational Competency Profiles for the practitioner level of emergency medical responder (EMR).

    3-year Red Cross certification in Marine Advanced First Aid 

    Transport Canada certification. Certificates are issued by Red Cross upon successful completion.

FIRST AID GUIDE TRAINING


Qualitative Mask Fit Testing Certification

We provide 3M N95 Mask Fit test for individuals and groups. Our Respirator Mask Qualitative Fit Test is conducted according to the CSA Z94.4 standards. This Respirator Protection Training session is focused on :


  • The importance of proper respirator protection
  • The selection of the appropriate mask for the workplace 
  • An inspection of the mask 
  • Proper mask donning and doffing
  • Seal test
  • Cleaning and storage of the masks 


We conduct fit tests with 3M N95 8210, 1860, 8200, and 1860S masks at present time. Each test will take 15-20 minutes to complete.

  • Procedure

    In order to receive a certificate, the participant must be able to successfully pass the administered taste test requiring the candidates to demonstrate how to properly don/doff the mask, do seal checks, and how to complete general care and maintenance of the respirator. A candidate is fit tested to a particular model of the respirator. If the employer change respirators, a new fit test must be done. The Ontario Ministry of Labour also requires you must be re-certified for respirator mask fit testing every 2 years.

  • Preparation

    Note: You must not smoke, eat, chew gum, drink any liquids (except water) at least 15 minutes before the test to ensure an accurate, successful respirator mask fit test (All types of masks). Please remove facial jewelry or other items that stay between the skin and respirator. 


    You must be clean shaven 12 to 24 hours before the Respirator Protection Training testing procedure. Candidates with asthma, respiratory conditions, heart conditions, and/or anxiety may or may not be properly fit tested. Those candidates may be required to get the clearance from your family physician before your mask fit test.

    We charge $50 per individual test as we have purchased masks for a higher price. Please book and pay before the test date.

Psychological First Aid

This course equips learners in develop a personal understanding of the effects of stress, loss, trauma, and grief on others, with emphasis on self-care and personal protection. Learners will be introduced to the Red Cross «Look, Listen, Link, Live» model – a resiliency-building approach to emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing. 


This model teaches learners how to support themselves and others to cope with the effects of various types of stress. The course uses primarily case-based learning and includes the latest evidence from the international community.
